Senior Business Banking Relationship Manager
Amalgamated Bank is hiring for a Business Relationship Manager. The Sr. Relationship Manager role will be responsible for new business development, portfolio management. The RM will work with bank partners to effectively cross sell full scope of Amalgamated Bank products. This role will focus on clients that typically have an annual revenue between $1MM and $10MM and lending up to $2MM. Essential Job Functions: + Conduct active prospecting and business development activities to identify/source new loan, deposit and cash management services + Manage and proactively call existing Business Banking clients, expand their relationship by providing a high level of service and recommending bank products to meet their needs + Represent the bank participating in networking and community service activities + Develop and maintain a strong network of Center of Influences that actively refer Business Banking opportunities + Evaluate credit requests, determine eligibility and recommend appropriate loan structure that meets the clients needs + Submits complete documentation packages and analysis + Utilize prescribed sales techniques and achieve agreed calling and activity targets + Actively collaborate with other lines of business to ensure the clients specific needs are met. + Cross Sells additional Amalgamated Bank products (investment, insurance, residential mortgage, and deposit relationships) to business owners + Achieve assigned goals Knowledge, Skills and Experience Requirements: + Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field with proven academic excellence; MBA preferred + 5 years of bank lending sales experience and a minimum of 1 year of credit analysis experience is preferred. + Ability to provide detail credit analysis to support the proposed loan structure + Passion to support small businesses in the defined area + Highly proficient financial analysis skills, including financial modeling and understanding of financial data, e.g. balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, financial ratios, etc. + Strong verbal, written, inter-personal, and public presentation skills + Proven organizational skills; able to work independently and be detail oriented + Ability to work well on a team with different personalities, adjust quickly to various work situations, and remain composed under pressure/in stressful situations + Ability to prioritize and work on multiple transactions simultaneously and prioritize assignments to meet deadlines Our job titles may span more than one career level. The starting base salary for this role is between $110,000.00 – $120,000.00. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferrable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
