Lead the design and execution of a comprehensive, enterprise-wide Business Continuity Management (BCM) program. Provide expert guidance in BCM best practices and establish a robust framework for managing the full lifecycle of business continuity activities, including governance, risk assessment, business impact analysis, strategy development, implementation, testing, training, and ongoing plan maintenance. Collaborate with key cross-functional stakeholders and risk owners to align initiatives that minimize the impact of disruptive events on critical business operations.
Responsibilities Include:
Take ownership of and coordinate the enterprise-wide Business Continuity Management (BCM) program, ensuring its effective integration across all organizational levels.Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive business continuity planning processes covering governance, risk assessments, business impact analysis, plan development, implementation, testing, and auditing.
Align BCM initiatives with organizational strategic goals to ensure resilience and long-term sustainability.
Establish a robust Business Impact Analysis (BIA) process to identify critical functions, assess interdependencies, and evaluate potential impacts on operations.
Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities, evaluate the likelihood and impact of disruptions, and determine acceptable risk tolerances.
Create and implement strategies to ensure business resilience and recovery objectives are met across key business areas.
Develop and maintain business continuity plans for critical business functions to ensure preparedness in the event of a disruption.
Continuously review and update the BCM program to reflect changes in the internal and external business environments, providing leadership with timely insights on emerging risks and challenges. Ensure the program enhances incident response and recovery efforts.
Monitor and report on BCM activities, ensuring progress and accountability in achieving resilience goals.
Oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of annual BCM training, workshops, and exercises to ensure a unified and effective response to potential disruptions.
Lead the adoption and optimization of BCM technologies and tools to enhance enterprise-wide resilience capabilities.
Serve as the business continuity subject matter expert for enterprise business units, offering guidance and expertise to ensure effective program implementation.
Champion enterprise resilience initiatives, advocating for alignment across business units and engaging with risk owners to address potential gaps in continuity planning.
Drive the design and execution of risk mitigation strategies, ensuring operational continuity under various disruptive scenarios.
Develop and maintain centralized templates, procedures, and guidance to streamline BCM processes and ensure consistency across the organization.
Ensure all BCM documentation is up-to-date, compliant with relevant standards and regulations, and continuously improves in line with industry developments.
Desired Minimum Qualifications:
Extensive experience in Business Continuity Management (BCM), including risk assessment, business impact analysis, and continuity planning.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business administration, risk management, or a related field. Advanced certifications or training in BCM are a plus.
Professional certification in business continuity planning (e.g., Certified Business Continuity Professional [CBCP], Master Business Continuity Professional [MBCP], or equivalent) a plus.
11-15 years of overall experience, with at least 10+ years in Business Continuity Management and a minimum of 4 years of international BCM experience.
Experience in cross-functional business resilience areas (e.g., Corporate Security, Risk Management, IT, Environmental Health & Safety) is highly desirable.
Familiarity with operational resilience regulations and industry standards is essential.
Strong project management skills with experience in group facilitation, training, and stakeholder engagement.
This role is hybrid in HQ (Princeton, NJ) with in-office presence Tuesday-Thursday.
