As our Business Controller for Marketing and Categories, you have an important role within the ASICS Business Control team. Your primary responsibility is supporting the functional budget owners in achieving their financial and operational targets while also contributing to informed strategic decision-making. You will also utilise your expertise and experience to lead and support the marketing and category departments with their financial performance, ensuring it’s aligned with the financial and business plan.

How you’ll help us.                 

Based at our EMEA Headquarters, just outside of Amsterdam, Netherlands, you will be reporting to the Manager SG&A Business Control, and as part of the role, you’ll:   

Support the Financial Control team with monthly closing by creating, reviewing, and analysing monthly bookings together, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial statements.  Create, develop, and maintain comprehensive monthly business review reports and supporting documents for your main stakeholders. Focus on explaining variances against the latest plan through value-added comments while achieving alignment and clarity about the impact the results might have on the year ahead.   Provide on-time guidelines, deadlines, deliverables and templates to your responsible stakeholder for an efficient and aligned holistic Financial Planning and Forecast Planning process.  Take ownership of budget processes for both your accountable and responsible areas. Drive accuracy and efficiency by continuously improving processes to optimise resource allocation.  Coach and develop your direct stakeholder, ensuring the finance concepts and topics are clearly understood. 

    

More about you.     

Masters degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a similar field. Four years of experience in an accounting or controlling role within an international company.  Strong expertise in financial planning and reporting processes.  Proficiency in Analytics Cloud Reporting, and Business Objects.  Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, PowerPoint, Thinkcell and Power BI.  Strong stakeholder management skills.
