The Sr. Business Data Specialist is responsible for Data Quality and Data Integrity in order to support Business Data for use in business intelligence/decisions. Major focus areas will be in Customer Data, Product Data, Supplier Data and the classification and standardization of that data. This may also include customers' assets and support contracts in our asset/contract management tool. Data aspects include its accuracy, accessibility, consistency, completeness, and updating. Maintains integrity of this data through periodic housekeeping efforts. Proactively manages this process on a regular schedule. Identifies, reviews, and fixes data inconsistencies. Uses data quality monitoring to communicate errors in data back to operational team members. Works to create and submit new policies or standards for ensuring appropriate data entry, usage, and controls. Establishes, coordinates and maintains solid communication with the sales teams and sales support teams while updating data records as needed in keeping with established policies and procedures. Reviews and actions any OEM or supplier hardware, software, and renewal notifications. **Essential Functions** SPECIFIC TO MASTER DATA MANAGEMENT: Responsible for the standardization and classification of the product data that goes into our Order Management system. Additionally, responsible for ensuring those classifications that relate to financial reporting (tax codes, recycle codes, and category codes) are properly established. Also, works with 3rd party services such as cNET's Product Standardization service to enhance our data. Responsible for the standardization and classification of the customer data in all of the appropriate systems (OQS, ChangePoint, Dynamics, OneSource, etc.). Responsible for ensuring that those classifications that relate to financial reporting (Customer Classification) are properly set based on information available through the customer's website and various business portals on the internet. Ensure that any hierarchical relationships are linked at the time of customer set-up, and any duplicate information is properly merged. Responsible for maintaining OnX Governance Documentation Responsible for the standardization and classification of our supplier/vendor information in all of the appropriate systems (OQS, ChangePoint, Dynamics, etc.). SPECIFIC TO RENEWALS DATA MANAGEMENT: Audit specific data fields at the end of every month for sales out information that is required to populate our customer asset and contract management tool. Work with appropriate departments to update any missing or incorrect data. Search internal systems, supplier systems, and/or OEM systems to identify accurate information to update any missing or incorrect data. Provide complete and accurate monthly sales out data in a template to populate our customer asset and contract management tool. Reconciles any records that were not able to be validated in the asset/contract tool until they are accurate and able to be loaded correctly. Identify all expiring contracts approximately 120 days in advance of expiration by utilizing internal tools, OEM tools, and/or supplier tools and provide complete and accurate expiration reports to specified users in the organizations. Review the information for each expiring contract to ensure that the required data elements are complete and accurate. Update any missing or incorrect data in the appropriate internal systems, supplier systems, and/or OEM systems so that the information is ready to be used in the quote process starting 90 days in advance of contract expiration. Reconcile any data variances reported by the customer, internal departments, sales teams, suppliers, or OEMs in a timely manner to preempt any escalations. SPECIFIC TO LOB ASSET DATA MANAGEMENT: Manage data integrity across the timeline of a specific bill of material and/or project roll out Reconcile historical transactions Synchronize customer maintained installation records Collaborate with OEMs to enhance data exchange process to improve GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES Assist internal customers, suppliers, and OEMs with creating and maintaining reports as needed Work with various vendors and tools to further enhance our system and available business data to help our leaders make better decisions Create and submit new policies or standards for ensuring appropriate data entry, usage, and controls Adhere to data governance standard operating procedures Maintain a high level of knowledge regarding systems and tools in order to act as a subject matter expert regarding functionality, navigation, structure, data, and business application Other duties as assigned **Experience** 3 to 5 years of general work experience **Education** Four years of College resulting in a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent **Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities** Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills Competency in Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) Excel Level 2 competence Demonstrates good organizational and detail-oriented skills Demonstrates effective time management, multi-tasking, and self-starter attributes Proven ability to interact and cooperate with employees in all departments Strong business acumen Upholds confidentiality **Supervisory Responsibilities** No Supervisory Responsibility We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, ancestry, age, disability, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, protected veteran, military status or any other characteristic protected by law.
