Senior Business Intelligence Engineer

HQRI Technology & Analytics (HTA) has recently launched a new organization dedicated to technical solutions that help support and connect across these member and provider focused efforts. HTA’s new Member & Provider Analytics organization (MPA) is developing a new model of delivery by incorporating principles of Large-Scale Scrum, dedicated Partnership Leaders, and collective Product Ownership. MPA operates with a spirit of shared success whereby our ability to help business partners maximize the effectiveness and accuracy of their programs yields better member care, health outcomes, provider partnerships and the financing of benefits for Medicare Advantage beneficiaries. The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer develops tools, technologies and applications used to collect, integrate, analyze, and present MPA related data in order to create insightful and actionable business information. The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer will partner with stakeholders, gather, scope requirements, and provide consultation regarding the best technical approach for projects. The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer describes the tools, technologies, applications and practices used to collect, integrate, analyze, and present an organization's raw data in order to create insightful and actionable business information. Begins to influence department’s strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments. Key responsibilities: + Work with the Business Owner to understand business problems and develop the right solution + Create visualizations and reports for requested projects based on UX Designer mockups + Maintain and support data analytics platforms + Evaluate and improve existing BI dashboards and solutions + Work collaboratively with teammates to optimally apply data warehouse, cloud and BI architecture, and visualization techniques + Collaborate with teams and elevate technical knowledge of other engineers within the team + Develop and update technical documentation related to deployed solutions + Ensure solutions provide the highest quality of data daily + Contribute to moving the team towards cloud-based BI platform **Use your skills to make an impact** **Required Qualifications** + Bachelor's degree and 5 or more years of technical experience in data analysis OR Master's degree and 3 or more years of experience + Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint + Deep expertise with Microsoft Power BI as well as proficiency using Power Automate and Power Apps + Advanced in SQL or any Relational Database Management System + Proven background in working with big and complex data sets within large organizations + Ability to analyze data to solve a wide variety of business problems and create data visualizations that drive strategic direction + Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and translate requirements between business, project management and technical projects or programs + Able to present and communicate valuable insights to stakeholders, as well as senior and executive leadership using visualizations **Preferred Qualifications** + Advanced Degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field + Power Platform Certification (s) such as PL-900 OR PL-400 + Prior exposure to Azure Synapse Analytics or other cloud-based platforms + Knowledge of Tableau and/or Qlik for creating data visualizations + Advanced Python programming is a plus + Data mining, forecasting, simulation, and/or predictive modeling experience + Creating analytics solutions for various healthcare sectors + A strong attention to detail and sense of curiosity **Additional Information** **Scheduled Weekly Hours** 40 **Pay Range** The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc. $89,000 - $121,400 per year This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan.
