Department Summary:
The Operational Engineering Department (N932), within the MITRE Intelligence Center, applies broad national and strategic engineering and operational expertise and deep understanding of our Sponsors' mission challenges to develop and advance complex human and technical solutions which enable present and future success from tactical to enterprise levels. We develop and apply innovative engineering solutions, thought leadership, and evidence-based recommendations that deliver high impact to our Sponsors’ missions, and we shape and grow the future MITRE intelligence workforce through engineering development.
Roles & Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be an active member of the department management team that plays a key role in business operations while operating in a high-performing organization that delivers effective mission support and outcomes for our sponsors. The Senior Program Coordinator responsibilities include:
Sponsor Engagement and Relations Management – Engage with sponsors to ensure mission needs are metPartnering with Project Managers by bringing a strategic mindset to collectively drive valueSupport multiple indirect projects by managing, facilitating, and serving as PL delegate for project-related staffing, allocation management, budgeting, and any related integration, coordination, and communications activitiesCollect and analyze data related to operational performance – this can involve generating reports, identifying trends, and making data-driven recommendations to improve operationsPerforming administrative tasks, such as meeting coordination, submitting purchasing requisitions, administering data calls, etcThis position requires an individual who is equally capable and comfortable working in various modes: as an individual contributor (working in close partnership with a government leader); as a team member (working with other MITRE Acquisition and/or Program Management staff); as a team/task leader (leading and coaching team members to ensure performance results on assigned tasks).
Basic Qualifications:
Applicants MUST hold an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph to be considered.Requires minimum of: 5 years experience with a Bachelor’s degree; 3 years experience with a Master’s degree; or with a Ph.D.; or an equivalent combination of related education and work experience.Experience overseeing project management and creating presentations and visualizations of timelines, milestones, and objectives related to budgets and resources.Experience and demonstrated excellence partnering with support functions, including finance and contracts.Excellent critical and strategic thinking abilities, as well as written and verbal communication skills.Ability to create win-win solutions with a positive “make it happen” attitude.2 + years at MITRE with established personal networkExtensive knowledge of the Intelligence Community with experience in the counterintelligence and/or security domainsQuantitative mindset with proven skills in financial management and budgetingThis position has an on-site requirement of 5 days a week on-sitePreferred Qualifications:
Experience providing pre- and post-award acquisition support, including market research, requirements analysis, and development of innovative acquisition/contracting processes.
