Define and design new import/export business models (both business and IT designs), ensuring strategic objectives are achieved. Confirm designs streamline process and data transactions from order placement through delivery, including the associated cash flow and customs transactions. Create workflows, lead regional and local strategic reviews to confirm solution recommendation. Act as the single point of contact for all operational issues, reviewing the issue or enhancement request, performing impact analysis, and working with IT support team/s to design the solution, including coordination of business user acceptance testing and leading training of fist level support teams and/or regional business teams. **You'll have...** A bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Industrial Operations Engineering, Engineering Management, Supply Chain, Business IT, Logistics, Computer Science, or a related field and 5 years of experience in the position offered or 5 years of experience supporting the automotive import and export business, including designing and providing operational support of electronic carrier communications, forecasting and confirming global vessel capacities, and ensuring finished vehicles are booked to vessels in a timely manner and all customs documentation, shipping paperwork, and invoices are created to support shipment. Also requires 5 years of experience: performing Order Fulfillment and Project Management responsibilities, including maintenance and support of an automated ocean vessel capacity forecasting and planning tool, enabling electronic communications of vehicle ETA’s to global markets, including identifying any specific actions the Finance team must take to ensure the commercial value of goods are sent on time to freight forwarding tools to enable successful shipment; implementing IT projects that support global business operations across multiple cultures and countries, including the design and launch of IT enhancements to the processes and systems supporting the import and export duties and the design and launch of all new business and IT models to support new vehicle programs and new markets around the globe, including creation of business process and transaction timelines, training of the global user base, and updating user manuals and desk top procedures; implementing an ERP tool, including acting as a single point of contact to provide guidance to business users and IT teams to configure the local import and export ERP (SAP) tool in support of daily automotive finished vehicle freight forwarding and the associated financial and customs reporting, and defining and designing systems and business process solutions in the ERP tool to improve efficiency of the overall operation and ensure better control and accountability for all regulatory and compliance related responsibilities; and designing and supporting database and data management tools, including Business Objects, SAP, Tableau, and Access. Position reports to Dearborn, MI office. Company offers flexible work from home schedule, but in-office work is required and individual must live within commuting distance of stated office. Experience may be, but need not be, acquired concurrently. We are offering a salary of $116,626 per year - $145,000 per year.
