What is the opportunity?
This is an experienced business and data analyst role focused on supporting Global Functions Technology Portfolio of Projects. The immediate focus will be on Risk Modernization - design and implementation of a strategic infrastructure for risk management including analysis and decommissioning of non-strategic applications. Additional projects in GFT will be added to the role as the department responsibilities expand.
The candidate translates business requirements into high quality, value-driven IT solutions. Candidates must possess excellent communication, management and interpersonal skills and should be capable of building relationships with a variety of stakeholders, facilitating cross-functional deliverables and presenting solutions to senior business stakeholders and partners.
What will you do?
Ability to create a functional breakdown of strategic market risk transformation roadmap for market risk systems and guide its implementationWork closely with business users to understand business requirements and demo system functionalityPrepare high level and detailed requirements specifications for the project in accordance with SDLC objectivesEfficiently perform the day to day business analysis tasks including documentation of requirements, data analysis and UATWork closely with development team to explain the requirements, validate the design assumptions for various business scenarios and testingDevelop new approaches to support Data Analytics including Machine Learning and AISupport QA team in creation of UAT test cases against business requirementsWhat do you need to succeed?
8+ years of experience working with Capital Markets and/or Market Risk Management solutionsUnderstanding of financial Instruments including the various types - Rates Derivatives, Credit Derivatives, Equity Derivatives FX Options & FX Cash etc. and their valuationStrong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work with multiple stakeholders across IT and BusinessAbility to succinctly articulate requirements, summarize data analysis and present to business users and development teamStrong data analysis skills with hands-on SQL, including analyzing large data sets, as well as the ability to visualize data, create mock ups of user screens in excel spreadsheets and PowerPointsBachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Quantitative finance, Mathematics or related fieldNice to Have
Good understanding of Basel regulatory environment and its evolution and challengesFamiliar with Agile/Scrum and experience with continuous integration developmentProfessional risk/finance certifications (e.g. FRM, PRM, CFA)Strong proficiency in the use of Python, Anaconda, Pandas, Jupyter, and work with Developers using a technology stack that includes Linux, Hadoop, Hive, Spark and other big data technologiesWhat’s in it for you?
