Our work depends on a Senior Business Systems Analyst joining our team to analyze business and technical processes to formulate and develop business information processing systems. You will collaborate with cross functional teams and stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirement for a large-scale modernization project.
HOW SENIOR BUSINESS SYSTEMS ANALYST WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
Work closely with key stakeholders to drive system modernization efforts ensuring alignment with strategic business goals and objectives.Elicits; gathers; documents; and analyzes business and technical requirements and process workflows.Creates and updates documentation (e.g., requirements analysis; use cases; user stories; and level of effort/resource estimates) for existing and new complex computer systems.Analyzes detailed system factors; including input/output requirements; information flow; hardware/software requirements; and reliability characteristics.Create complex test case scenarios to be used in functional testing, regression testing; conduct/monitor/oversee/document the testing of business applications to verify that all client requirements are incorporated into the system design.WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in a Computer Science or related technical discipline preferred but not requiredExperience:
10+ years of experience with analyzing business requirements and developing business requirementsRequired Skills and Abilities:
Demonstrated experience with at least one enterprise software development project within the past three yearsStrong analysis, problem-solving experience (requirements analysis, documentation, user stories), ability to gather and analyze information skillfullyExcellent oral and written communication skills, presentation skills, interpersonal skills to collaborate with customers and internal cross-functional teamsDemonstrated experience and comfortable in a project start-up environmentThorough understanding of and experience in software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile delivery methodologyDesired Skills and Abilities:
Demonstrated experience in a similar role at the US Postal Service is highly desiredDemonstated experience serving in a similar role on a team with for a system upgrade or large-scale IT modernization projectsSecurity Clearance:
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust and successfully pass a thorough Government background screening process requiring the completion of detailed forms and fingerprintingThis position has a U.S. residency requirement. The USPS security clearance process requires the selected candidate to have resided in the U.S. (including U.S. Territories) for the last five years as follows: U.S. Citizens cannot have left the U.S. (including U.S. Territories) for longer than 6 months consecutively in the last 3 years (unless they meet certain exceptions). Non-U.S. Citizens cannot have left the U.S. (including U.S. Territories) for longer than 90 days consecutively in the last 3 years.Location:
