Responsibilities

Ascension is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst  to join our Data Delivery and Governance team. The successful candidate will be part of the Product Management team, incorporating agile development and operations methodologies and best practices through repeatable agile approach to capabilities assessments and modeling systems in a cost-effective way to explore and document requirements, system characteristics, and capabilities to address reliability, maintainability, quality, supportability, interoperability, and both organizational and technical requirements

Responsibilities

Obtain a deep understanding of relevant business area(s) and business processes to be able to recommend solutions and build high-quality requirements. Use a variety of techniques to elicit business requirements such as: interviews, workshops, surveys, site visits, storyboards, etc. Add value to the business by partnering and consulting to make recommendations and suggesting alternatives to proposed solutions. Understand technical options, limitations, costs, and risks and the impact to the business up and down stream.Perform qualitative and quantitative research and data gathering to identify key themes, trends to assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports.Conduct strategic, operational, and technical analyses from disparate sources with the goal of discovering patterns and previously hidden insightsCollaborate with business and technical leads to successfully integrate data and business processes across systems.Define, analyze, design, document and implement business requirements including process and data flow, data definitions, documentation/diagrams, business, technical specifications and requirements tracing. Create artifacts as appropriate, such as: business case, use case, scope, requirements, process flows, and test scenarios.Support operational oversight of technical requirements development & testing. Triaging, resolving, and responding to issues. Documenting defects, developing remediation plansUtilize data analysis tools to gather insights from systems and business processes, identifying trends and opportunities for enhancement.Conduct Data ProfilingManage changes throughout the delivery process

 


Requirements

Education:

High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's
degree/Bachelor's degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Additional Preferences Strong business analysis, requirement elicitation and documentation skillsKnowledge of SDLC, Agile methodologies, User stories and acceptance criteriaAbility to identify, communicate and mitigate risks timely, good time Management and prioritization skillsJira knowledge is preferred.Excellent knowledge Healthcare industry knowledgeExperience in successfully developing and managing projects with a fairly significant operating budget and knowledge of process redesign is strongly preferred.Current experience writing agile documents and UAT templates strongly preferred.Experience in prioritizing and identifying risk is highly desirable.Experience working in a fast paced environment strongly preferred
