Senior Business / Technical Analyst

**Description**
**Overview:** The Senior Business Analyst translates the business requirements into artifacts (typically user stories) that can be used by developers to implement features and by QA Testers to validate those implementations. They also coordinate the day-to-day activities of the development team, triage issues/bug, and work with the Business Partners and Product Owners to manage priorities, schedule, and scope.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Works closely with product owners throughout the company to identify and deliver applications to increase efficiency.
+ Maintains best practices and supports enhanced business metrics across multiple platforms.
+ Drives adoption and business benefits through day-to-day support, training, and engagement with the business.
+ Executes ongoing release management to ensure an informed, efficient, and confident user base.
+ Work with the Product Owner and other business stakeholders to understand business requirements and organize them into artifacts that are used by developers and testers, typically Epics, Features, and User Stories.
+
**Manage and lead the day-to-day activities of the development work. When using Scrum this is the Scrum Master role, managing daily standups, backlog grooming, demos, etc.**
+ Provide reporting such as burn-down/up charts and progress/status reports to both the business and technical leadership.
+
**Works with the Product Owner to align priorities, timing, impacts of changes/additions, and helps manage the overall scope of the project.**
+ Coordinates with external teams and stakeholders to ensure dependencies required by developers and testers are met and issues/blockers are resolved.
+ Triages issues/bugs and feature requests.
+ Owns the release communication, planning, execution, success definition, measurement, and post implementation efforts.
**Skill and Competencies:**
+ A strong understanding of
**Scrum** and Kanban development methodologies and how to apply them appropriately to successfully deliver software development/implementation projects.
+ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Solid
**understanding of software development and testing concepts** .
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
+ Experience with development management tools such as Jira and Azure DevOps.
+ Experience writing user stories (using Gerkin is a plus) with good acceptance criteria.
+ Collaboration skills and ability to work on a team.
+ Adaptability and willingness to learn.
**Qualifications**
At least 5-8 years of experience managing the delivery of projects using agile methodologies.
