Aspirus Corporate Office in Wausau, WI is seeking a SENIOR BUSINESS TRANSFORMATION COACH to join our team!

The Senior Business Transformation Coach (BTx) is accountable for applying continuous process improvement (CPI) and project management (PM) principles to improve operational and strategic goals by leading high impact projects and building system capabilities in applying contemporary theory and tools. The person in this role demonstrates a high degree of accountability for delivering results by partnering with business leaders to improve the patient’s experience, make more efficient use of resources, and remove obstacles to staff performance.

As part of the Business Transformation Team, this position supports transforming the thinking and behavior of leaders in alignment with the strategic, operational, and business needs of the organization. This position coordinates and leads problem solving initiatives across the Aspirus system, implementing high impact solutions. The Senior Coach utilizes continuous improvement methods, problem solving and project management tools, and leadership and change management techniques to achieve specific enterprise-wide performance metrics. The Senior Coach is responsible for training, coaching, and mentoring leaders, providers, and staff on problem solving and continuous improvement mindsets, skillsets, and toolsets. 

HOURS: Full-Time or 1.0 FTE; 80 hours every 2 weeks

Experience/Qualifications

Knowledge of continuous improvement and project management tools, and when and how to use them, normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Management, Organizational Excellence, or other related profession.A Master’s Degree in Business or Health Administration is preferred or demonstrated equivalent knowledge and skillset.
American Society for Quality Six Sigma Black Belt and/or Project Management Institute Project Management Professional Certification required or must be completed after hire.
A minimum of six years of continuous improvement and/or project management experience.
Training in an interactive setting on the use of basic and advanced continuous improvement tools and principles (such as Kaizen, DMAIC, or elements typically included in Green Belt training).
Coaching/mentoring of individuals at progressively higher levels including managers and directors in the selection and use of appropriate problem-solving tools.
Leading/managing a portfolio of projects. This should include more than 20 projects using recognized approaches (e.g., DMAIC, Kaizen, Agile, etc.) significantly affecting key outcomes.
Expertise in data collection, analysis, and display using statistical and graphical techniques.
Experience and responsibility for visual management systems, developing and delivering training materials, and deployment of continuous improvement initiatives.
Demonstrates emotional intelligence skills needed to effectively “read a room” and engage diverse groups of people comfortably.
Strong competence at influencing without authority to drive action and initiatives forward.
Possesses exceptional facilitation, presentation, and coaching skills.
Has a track record of and desire for investing in and developing others.
Responds to changing or shifting priorities, pivoting as needed. Remains flexible in uncertainty, calm under pressure.
Displays an “executive presence” in interacting and developing mutual respect with executives.
Identifies opportunities to improve patient experience, the Environment of Care, and patient and staff safety. Participates in projects/programs designed to enhance the culture and experience at Aspirus.
