Senior Business Unit Manager, Orthopaedics SG based in Singapore

To provide leadership to the assigned sales team so that both individual and team performances produce profitable sales growth.

What will you be doing?

Train and mentor staff to improve effort and performance

Continually assess sales territories and re-align as necessary

Conduct performance evaluations

Build and execute on detailed sales plan to achieve revenue objectives

Maintain monthly inventory and sales forecasting

Account planning

Drives sales and profit within the assigned market to set objectives in line with the overall business objectives.

Build and implement a business strategy for the assigned market and drive activity towards this goal in line with the overall business objectives.

Take an active role in mentoring distribution personnel and evaluating proficiency in support of Company products and services

Assure consistent high level of distributor capabilities to serve and develop customers in the assigned geography.

Follow-up with customers to ensure happiness with products and/or services provided

Understanding the direction of the business and having a clear idea of where the business will be achieved.

Maintain regular and open lines of communication vertically and horizontally through the organisation to keep team fully informed and focused.

Establish relationships with Strategic Accounts.

Identify, qualify, and solicit new accounts in accordance with ASEAN Business Unit goals and objectives

Develop and implement key opinion former strategies and keeping positive relationships with key opinion leaders in Singapore.

Maintain high level of knowledge on the assigned product range, roadmaps, competitor product, pricing, market share and key product differentiation. Report on business prospects, competitor activities, market trends and sales performance within the assigned markets.

Continually develop excellence in product and technique knowledge, and selling skills of the team, by continual mentor and training during field visits as well as drawing on other resources within the company.

Liaising with the intercompany affiliated Sales Manager to co-ordinate common sales approach towards common customers in order to improve business opportunities.

Ensuring that marketing activities are suitably followed up within the assigned market and that the investment of the business is returned via the sales effort. To contribute to the forward strategy of the assigned business as defined by the Business Director.

Taking ownership of all tenders on the region by working with sales team and customer service to provide high quality tender information.

Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly business reporting requirements and in the annual budgeting processes.

Work with Management team to improve the overall efficiency and optimisation of business processes.

Ensure team and Export Distributors complete all compliance training modules/requirements within the set timeframes.

Enforce compliance to company and industry regulation

The market in which the job operates includes all hospitals within the assigned territory.

There are severe constraints on the customers’ ability to purchase product and a growing number of competitors. The assigned product is a steadily evolving discipline with continued introduction of new products, techniques, and practices. The environment is increasingly regulated.

What will you need to be successful?

Success in the role will require a combination of technical knowledge, soft skills, and a deep understanding of both the business and service-providing sides of an organization. Successful candidates would need the following:

Bachelor's Degree in Science-based subjects.

Above 8 experiences in healthcare sales management

3-4 years in any salesperson management position with at least three direct reports or at least five years in Orthopaedic/Endoscopy sales

Ability to present financial information

Proven track record in sales management

Experience in using PC based software packages, WORD, EXCEL, Outlook
