With its highly developed proprietary network of over 11,000 service partners, USM delivers consistent facilities maintenance services across a nationwide footprint for approximately 150 customers in over 80,000 locations in all 50 states, Puerto Rico, and Canada. **Job Title:** **Senior Buyer** **Job Summary:** The Senior Buyer will be responsible for coordinating a team of buyers who source, negotiate and manage facility maintenance service contracts and subcontractors nationwide. This position will report to the Senior Category Manager - Interior Procurement, and will work in collaboration with Account Managers and Operations as part of project management teams. Other responsibilities include managing providers assigned to high profile facility maintenance accounts, overseeing sourcing events, delegating tasks, process adherence, ensuring deadlines and budget goals are achieved, negotiating and reviewing contracts, implementing operational efficiencies and improving the company’s overall profitability. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities:** + Oversees the planning, execution, follow up and communication for all sourcing projects and initiatives. Delegate tasks to buyers and follow up to ensure deadlines and budgets are achieved + Partnering with Operations and Account Management, identify appropriate contractors to ensure all assigned locations have service provider contracts in place. Negotiate contracts and rates with strategic providers and oversee same in assigned Buyers. Build relationships internally and externally and participate in cross-functional meetings and in coaching with service providers. Develop a network of preferred service providers + Manage, execute and communicate standardized processes and procedures to the team and the company. Work with the Senior Category Manager and Director of Procurement to identify and implement process efficiencies + Assist in employee development, focusing on both training for their current job and developing skills for future roles and responsibilities + Participate in sourcing activities when required to ensure deadlines and goals are achieved **Qualifications:** + Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience + Five to seven years of industry-related procurement experience Preferred + Proficiency with Microsoft Excel Notice to prospective employees: There have been fraudulent postings and emails regarding job openings.
