Senior Buyer

Responsibilities:

Develop and execute strategic purchasing plans to drive customer count and sales growthStay ahead of industry trends and consumer needs to ensure product offerings remain competitive and appealingEstablish and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers, ensuring excellent pricing, quality, and supportManage procurement of new and existing products while maintaining optimal inventory levels and turnover ratesCollaborate with corporate and store personnel to ensure timely delivery of products and contract complianceMonitor and report on sales, budgets, and customer satisfaction metricsAttend tradeshows and industry events to stay current on market trends and emerging opportunities

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a buyer or relevant role in fresh or frozen commoditiesDegree in Business Management, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent combination of experience and/or higher education)Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyDemonstrable aptitude in effective negotiating and adherence to purchasing best practicesProficiency in advanced Excel functions, including VLOOKUP, INDEX MATCH, conditional formatting, pivot tables, macros, and data simulationsExperience with product research, specification development, and industry standard complianceStrong collaboration and communication skills, with experience working in cross-functional teams
