Senior Buyer
**Duration: 6-month contract with Extension** **Job Description:** Support driving the development, communication, and execution of strategic sourcing strategies and plans within Global Supply Management (GSM), while aligning with the overall business objectives and strategies for designated global commodities. **Key Responsibilities:** + Collaborate on Strategic Sourcing plans and objectives (short & long term) based on demand forecasts, economic trends, and currency conditions affecting GSM and global commodity sourcing. + Support Contributions Metrics system maintenance. + Assist in executing E-auctions, RFI’s, RFP's, and RFQ's. + Contribute to global cost reduction initiatives implementation. + Work with plants and suppliers for short-term forecasts, supply assurance activities, and shipment tracking. + Manage and control logistics and inventory of owned kegs for suppliers + Monitor and analyze monthly raw material prices from approved suppliers, identifying cost-saving opportunities + Contribute to strategic planning for Business GSM, focusing on risk mitigation and cost-effective procurement. + Manage non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) and COA between suppliers and OFC manufacturing facilities. + Foster communication and collaboration between plants to address materials and quality issues promptly. + Proactively resolve invoicing issues to ensure timely and accurate payment processing. + Participate in cross-functional teams for process improvements, cost reduction, and supply chain issue resolution. **Experience:** + Experience as a materials planning, logistics, manufacturing, supply chain, finance, or Senior Buyer + Problem-solving, analytical skills, exceptional follow through + Effectively manages self and team through a fast-paced environment + Ability to interface at all levels within the organization and instill confidence and trust + Highly proficient with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and/or Project Process improvement experience + Attention to detail and ability to abide by standard operating procedures (SOP) + Ability to prioritize work to meet deliverables/timelines in an effective manner + SOX compliance **Skills:** **Performance Metrics:** + Contribution Metrics + Global Objectives Performance **Competencies:** **Influencing:** + Effectively sells ideas and solutions while building support for them. + Gains cooperation from others to achieve goals and obtain necessary information. **Business:** + Dealing with Ambiguity: + Adapts effectively to change and transitions. + Comfortably shifts gears in ambiguous situations. **Function/Technical:** **Financial Management:** + Develops financial analyses and identifies cost-saving opportunities. **Negotiation** : + Conduct negotiations to safeguard interests and foster mutually beneficial agreements. + Skillfully balance and prioritize between essential requirements and additional preferences during negotiations. + Price/Cost Analysis: + Assesses pricing proposals, considering total acquisition cost. **Leadership:** + Act with Integrity and Authenticity: + Demonstrates values and ethical conduct. + Treats others with empathy, fairness, and respect. + Follows through on commitments. **Education:** + Bachelor's degree. **About US Tech Solutions:** US Tech Solutions is a global staff augmentation firm providing a wide range of talent on-demand and total workforce solutions.
