The Senior Buyer is responsible for the procurement of parts and services required for the Research and Development of New Products This position reports to the NPD Procurement Manager and is part of the Global Sourcing Organization located in Concord, Ontario, Canada and will be an on-site role. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: + SME (Subject Matter Expert) for Procurement related activities ensuring compliance to departmental Standard Work , Company Work Instructions and overall compliance to QMS (Quality Management System). + Recommend and Conduct Risk Mitigation activities to maintain project schedule while following departmental WI’s and Compliance to QMS + Provide monthly project and research spend forecasts + Purchase Order placement, maintenance and expediting (Using Oracle ERP) The essential requirements of the job include + Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline (Business, Supply Chain), preferred + 5+ years Extensive Procurement Experience in an NPI and Operations environment + Oracle ERP Experience + Ability to work independently + Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and concept of procurement for Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBA’s) / Electronics / Mechanical (sheet metal and machining) + Excellent Communication Skills SCIEX, a Danaher operating company, offers a broad array of comprehensive, competitive benefit programs that add value to our lives.
