Job Summary
We are looking for a Sr Buyer, a team-oriented individual who has a strong understanding of standard purchasing and supply chain concepts, practices and procedures to lead the Indirect Purchasing division of our company.

Essential Duties

Identify suppliers and prepare RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs for product categories.Complete bid evaluations. Negotiate with suppliers for execution of Supply Agreements that achieve lowest total system cost and which are in accordance with company policies and procedures.Track supplier metrics, communicate supplier performance, and forecast requirements, as needed, ensuring all purchases consistent with quality and delivery requirements.Coordinate with internal customers to implement supplier changes, as required; assist plant buyers and internal customers on sourcing related issues.Update price models, as required.Analyze and deliver timely cost information.Maintain sourcing database and metrics for reporting and communicating Procurement activities.Manage contractual commitments and supplier assessments, ensuring all purchases consistent with quality and delivery requirements.Perform other duties as assigned.

Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in field of businessMinimum of 4+ year’s experience in procurement RequiredExperience in use of ERP system (PeopleSoft, SAP, or equivalent) and a Maintenance and Inventory system (Maximo).
