\n\t\t\t\t\tThe Strategic Buyer (Commodity/Category Buyer or Manager) will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies that align with the company’s goals. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, excellent negotiation abilities, and a deep understanding of market dynamics. They will be working through the product lifecycle Financials. This group is supporting diesel enginers so any experience within that topic is a PLUS!\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nStrategic Sourcing: Develop and execute sourcing strategies to meet the company’s procurement needs, focusing on cost reduction, quality improvement, and supplier reliability.\nSupplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with key suppliers to ensure the best possible terms and performance.\nMarket Analysis: Conduct thorough market research and analysis to stay informed about industry trends, pricing, and emerging suppliers.\nNegotiation: Lead complex negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms, pricing, and contracts.\nRisk Management: Identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain to ensure continuity and reliability.\nCost Optimization: Continuously seek opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements within the procurement process.\nCollaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and finance, to align procurement strategies with business objectives.\nReporting: Prepare and present regular reports on procurement activities, cost savings, supplier performance, and market trends.

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
