MAU is hiring a Sr. Buyer for Pangborn Corp. in Fairburn, GA. As Sr. Buyer you will manage quotations, track purchase orders, coordinate with project teams to ensure on-time deliveries, support customer service needs, and secure suppliers while maintaining cost efficiency. This is a direct-hire opportunity.
Benefits Package 401k matching Life insurance Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Short term disability Long term disability Paid time off Shift Information Monday to Friday | 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Required Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field, or 7+ years of relevant purchasing experience Minimum 7 years of experience in project management, purchasing, or supply chain management, preferably within heavy fabrication, foundry, or machining industries General Requirements Professional certifications in purchasing or supply chain management (e.g., CSCP, CMP) preferred Project Management certifications are a plus Strong background in supply chain management and manufacturing operations Strategic thinker with excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively Outstanding verbal and written communication skills for internal and external stakeholders Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and ERP systems Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively and optimize resources Essential Functions Deliver timely, accurate quotes to support the applications team with equipment and rebuild projects Monitor and track purchase orders to ensure on-time, complete deliveries; report back-ordered or missing items and expedite as needed Collaborate with Project Management and Master Scheduling to maintain project timelines through on-time product delivery Engage with stakeholders to address needs, communicate issues promptly, and resolve concerns with urgency Identify, evaluate, and secure new suppliers while maintaining cost expectations Perform other job-related duties as assigned Embrace and consistently apply current cultural development initiatives Travel Flexibility to work outside standard office hours and travel up to 20%, sometimes on short notice
