Job Title: Sen ior Buyer

Job Description

The Se nior Buyer will primarily focus on purchasing with the goal of achieving cost savings. This role requires analyzing data to understand current spending, identifying potential savings, and vetting vendors via RFQs. The Sen ior Buyer will perform performance and market testing, as well as scenario planning to determine the best purchasing choices.

ResponsibilitiesAnalyze data to understand current spending and identify potential cost savings.Vet vendors through RFQs to evaluate purchasing options and costs.Conduct performance and market testing, and scenario planning to determine the best purchasing choices.Collaborate daily with the Director of Finance, another Material Buyer, and a Master Scheduler.Target cost savings for engineering and quality, then move on to shop floor support.Investigate the shop floor to understand the usage and priority of supplies and materials.Essential SkillsPurchasing experienceProcurement expertiseCost savings analysisVendor communicationProficiency in Microsoft ExcelERP experienceAdditional Skills & QualificationsScheduling experienceExperience working with vendorsAttention to detailSupply chain knowledgeExperience with Plex ERPPurchasing experience for steel and/or plasticsPay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.06 - $40.87/hr.
