About The Job
Though you may not know us by name, you’ve most likely enjoyed meals and refreshments supported by our industry-leading brand portfolio. For decades, we’ve designed and manufactured foodservice equipment for some of the world’s biggest, most recognized consumer brands. We are driven to innovate with a clear purpose in mind: revolutionizing the future of foodservice.
As a Senior CAD Designer, you will design products and define and implement best practices and standard processes for the mechanical designer function. You will be responsible for supporting design projects with 3D CAD, dimensioned drawings and schematics, bill of material management, and PCR/PCN execution. You will drive collaboration with cross-functional teams to perform technical analysis and reviews and oversee the application of critical learnings and environmental factors in the design of equipment. Additionally, you will drive the development, implementation, and upkeep of our best practices and working processes in the mechanical designer function. You will be a trainer and mentor to other employees, helping to scope and estimate design projects, support resource tracking, and contribute to MFT’s growth and innovation.

Solve issues utilizing the 8D/DMAIC process principles.
Develop technical drawings, models, and specifications using engineering software and tools and update them according to findings from reviews, simulations, testing, and field trials.
Develop expertise in the environmental factors, use cases, and consumer values of our equipment, and apply them to the design work.
Lead collaboration with cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians, project managers, and stakeholders, to ensure project goals are met.
Monitor and apply the latest industry design tools and master advanced skills such as surfacing, modelling and referencing of large assemblies, plastic part design for thermoforming or injection molding, and metals design for casting or stamping.
Actively participate in continuous learning and professional development activities, including attending training programs, and bring learnings to our team by hosting workshops or mentoring team members.
