The Sr Calibration Technician shall be responsible for the performance and/or coordination of calibration and preventative maintenance activities associated with process, lab and test instruments within Integra LifeSciences’ New Jersey Collagen Manufacturing Center (CMC). The Sr Calibration Technician will ensure that activities and practices are maintained and traceable to the Manufacturing Quality System within the New Jersey CMC site. The Sr Calibration Technician will also support functional and operational improvements of instrumentation and controls used within the CMC and ensure that all activities are completed safely within OSHA and internal standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To perform this job successfully the individual must be able to perform each of the following essential duties satisfactorily.
Perform calibrations and/or verifications of instruments and equipment to approved job plans, work instructions and/or procedures.Perform testing on electronic components to determine functionality level and capacity.Expert knowledge and application of instrument, equipment, and loop calibrations of various parameters used within the CMC’s manufacturing operations, laboratories, and facilities.Excellent communication and problem-solving skillsPerform modifications, improvements, and recommendations to existing systems.Use manual and powered electrical repair and diagnostic tools/ instruments skillfully.Complete all cGMP documentation associated with calibration and maintenance tasks.Plan and coordinate external calibration services.Review calibration SOPs for accuracy during routine calibration or when a new instrument is introduced into the calibration database. Create or revise the SOPs as neededWillingness to perform other related tasks.Able to work with minimal supervision.Able to start, stop and operate all equipment.Available to work flexible hours, be on call and work overtime, as required.QUALIFICATIONS
Technical degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Electronics, other related technical field, or equivalent military training (DD-214).Professional certification (ISA- CCST, ASQ-CCT) or Military Educational Program (PMEL).5+ plus years of related technical calibration experienceKnowledge of process controls and electrical circuitry.Strong computer skills.Working knowledge of paperless calibration management software (ProCal or Maximo preferred)Able to work from specifications, drawings, verbal instructions, or sketches.Knowledge of automation controllers (PLCs), Allen Bradley, Honeywell and Modicon.Integra LifeSciences is an equal opportunity employer, and is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all qualified applicants and employees regardless of race, marital status, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, sexual orientation, physical or mental disability, or protected veteran status.
