Senior Cargo Broker, Asia Cargo Practice
What can you expect?
This newly created role is to support and assist the Asia Cargo Leader across all facets of cargo product-line management in the Asia region. Based in Singapore, the appointed candidate will work closely with the Cargo Leader in developing strategic growth plans, support and drive sales and placement initiatives in conjunction with and for local Marsh offices across the Asia region. As well as supporting strategic discussions and drive initiatives, the candidate will also provide team oversight on tasks including placement as well as offering ideas and direction to colleagues within the team.
We will count on you to:
Actively contribute and take accountability for strategic growth discussions both regionally and with Marsh branches.Work with sales and industry leaders to position the cargo product line firmly into strategic and client discussions/plans.Identify and develop technical training exercises with key individuals to expand cargo expertise beyond product line expertsConvene internal pre-meetings before renewal strategy meetings with clientsWork with other product leaders, understand Specialty and the wider Marsh organization with a view to product expansion, multi-line offerings and strategies where appropriateImplement agreed regional strategies into countries.Develop, maintain and lead relationships with Cargo Product Line leaders in country.Assist in the oversight of the team’s placement activities and support with strategic and market discussions when appropriate.Lead larger client enquiries to ensure best solutions are providedIn conjunction with the client and/or relevant stakeholder, develop broking plans in response to client needs and gains client’s approvalCommunicates broking plans to clients, brokers and carriers, as appropriateDevelop and manage existing and new prospect client relationships as required. Implement, manage and maintain a quality post-sales service plan where appropriateCreate and present renewal proposals to existing clients and participates in presentations to prospective clientsKeep abreast of changing market conditions and inform client executives carriers, brokers and/or clients of major development affecting various types of coverageIdentify new product and solution proposal requirements to brokers, clients and carriersWhat you need to have:
Bachelor degree or equivalent in any disciplineMinimum 5 - 7 year’s relevant experience in cargo broking or underwriting industry;Proficient in PC Skills, including MS OfficeSolid insurance brokerage, account management, servicing and sales skillsAmbitious, solution focus and with strong skills in client relationship managementGood Command of both written and spoken English. Fluency in speaking Mandarin is an advantage.What makes you stand out?
