For more information, visit www.hormelfoods.com and http://csr.hormelfoods.com/ . **RESPONSIBILITIES:** This position has responsibility for the Meijer account, all categories we play in excluding Fresh Pork/Turkey. + Develop and present an annual category perspective, analyzing business issues and providing insights on assortment, shelf presentation, pricing, promotion, merchandising, eCommerce, digital, and marketing. + Collaborate with NCSM and Marketing to integrate category-based perspectives into business decisions. + Perform periodic assortment analysis using Nielsen ASO, customer loyalty data, and Circana to optimize SKU performance and distribution. + Develop, update, and communicate best-in-class shelving strategies. + Provide periodic reports on market share, sales changes, pricing, assortment optimization, strategic shelving, shopper metrics, pricing, and promotion optimization. + Utilize customer-specific eCommerce data to generate insights on online sales and customer engagement. + Conduct ad-hoc reporting to address market and product issues with actionable recommendations. + Collaborate with the Sales Strategy Team to provide insights during the development of the annual volume and trade plan. + Support the sales team by identifying pain points and developing strategies for category representation. + Provide leadership and training to less experienced Category Analysts, sharing knowledge and best practices in Excel, Circana POS/Panel, etc. **QUALIFICATIONS:** Required + Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. + 1+ year of sales/marketing/analytics experience. + Pattern of initiative. + Proven problem solving and decision-making skills. + Ability to work in a team environment on a variety of complex projects. + Well-developed interpersonal, organizational skills and analytical skills. + Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel. + Well-developed written and verbal communication skills. + Strong ability to present to and negotiate with the customer. + Proficient in working with Circana data. + Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States. + Applicants must not now, or in the future, require sponsorship for an employment visa. Preferred + Strong knowledge of Assortment and Shelving Strategy including proficiency in Nielsen ASO. + Proficient in working with loyalty card data. **Location:** Grand Rapids, MI A comprehensive relocation package to the Grand Rapids, MI area will be offered, if required. At Hormel Foods, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range.
