Senior Category Manager, Construction, Architecture, and Fixtures
As the Senior Category Manager, Construction, Architecture, and Fixtures you will join the team responsible for development of category and sourcing strategies, sourcing execution, negotiations, and contracting activities across multiple categories across Best Buy’s real estate portfolio of properties (areas of spend). This is a high-impact position, with responsibility to commercially manage and strategically source products and/or services within multiple categories with ranging complexities. The position will provide consistent exposure to Best Buy executives, large strategic suppliers, and highly complex agreements. The right candidate will have an opportunity to make an immediate impact with noticeable results. The Best Buy Procurement organization has undergone a significant transformation to become a strategic value generating business enabler. 

This role is hybrid, which means you will be required to work some days on-site at the Best Buy location listed on this posting and some days virtually from home or other non-Best Buy location. What you’ll doOptimize the total cost of ownership and increase the total value derived from our facility related investments specific to non-merchandise goods and services acquired by Best Buy Understand how parent and child contractual agreements are structured, including complex agreements that cover many products/services across many business owners Articulate industry specific knowledge with both industry experts as well as cross-functional partners who may not be well versed in the particularsInvolved in negotiations resulting in up to $100 million of contractual obligationsCreate and execute a strategic vision with analytical thinking and problem solving focused on achieving functional and organizational goalsBuild and sustain an engaged, diverse, highly skilled team and oversee performance and development of direct reports  Basic qualifications6 or more years of experience in procurement, supply chain, sales, finance or similar3 or more years collaborating with and influencing executive and senior-level stakeholders / business partners 2 or more years of supervisory/people leadership, coaching and employee development experience Direct experience with contract negotiations ranging from $10-$100 million Preferred qualificationsBachelor's Degree in Business or related field9 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, sales, finance or similar 5 years of project management experience or experience influencing without authority3 years of supervisory/people leadership, coaching and employee development experience Retail, construction, architecture, fixtures or related strategic sourcing experienceExperience working within a matrixed organization What’s in it for you
