The purpose of this Global Senior Category Manager role is to drive and foster a strategic mindset in one or more procurement categories across all FUJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies (FDB) sites by creating, communicating and implementing category strategies and plans. In this role, you will ensure transparency, structure and control in this category, enabling data-driven decision making as well as continuous cost and service improvements. You will manage the category's supplier portfolio and ensure that partner and key suppliers are globally contracted (MSA) at an advantage vs their T&Cs

Principal Accountabilities
Creating, implementing and communicating category strategies based on internal analysis and external market understanding, grounded in the needs of FDBs category stakeholders Supplier management through regular contact moments, facilitated across different organizational levels as well as operational and annual business reviews with key suppliers and partners Driving regular RFx processes to drive competition or identify new suppliers Ensure alignment between FDB and supplier capabilities and expectations to enable high impact outcomes Ensure up to date market knowledge in the responsible categories to drive innovation and continuous improvement Conduct risk analyses and drive relevant mitigation projectsSolve operational (delivery & cost) issues when escalated from site supply chain managementBackground Education and Experience Required
Bachelor’s degree – multiple fields such as business administration, engineering, chemistry, biology, and others are acceptable is required.
A Masters degree in the above fields or an MBA is desirable. Recognized procurement certification from CIPS, CPSM, CPP, NEVI or other other 3+ years of strategic/tactical procurement and sourcing experience gained in a highly regulated industry is required.5+ years of strategic/tactical procurement and sourcing experience in a GMP industry is desired.Strong communication skillsAdvanced strategic thinking skillsAdvanced problem solving skillsExperience with stakeholder engagement and managementStrong business acumenAbility to operate in uncertainty and make strategic decisions based on the situationProven experience in strategic sourcing, negotiation preparation and execution, category strategy analysis and formulationProven experience in financial acumen and analysis
Although this may be a remote posting, the incumbent must reside within a reasonable commuting distance from one of the FDB US locations. The US salary range for this position is $110,000 to $143,000. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This is a global position that will support all our FDB sites. This position can be based at any of our locations around the globe. Benefits and compensation will be governed by the location that you are based from and considered your home site.
