Purpose\:
Worley is seeking a Cathodic protection and integrity SME to join the Denver pipeline team.
Responsibilities\:
Working as part of the Materials discipline to ensure a safe and practical design.
Areas of responsibility include\:
Cathodic Protection.
Pipeline Coatings.
Conduct Cathodic Protection Design soil/Field Surveys (as and when required).
Including CIPS/DCVG surveys.
Review of Engineering bids.
Review of vendor data.
Interface with CP supplier/fabricator/contactor.
Construction support and field engineering.
Cathodic Protection pre-commissioning and Commissioning.
Assistance to all other engineering disciplines.
Attend bid clarification meetings as required.
Responsible for the delivery of assigned work on schedule and on budget.
Responsible for the technical integrity and quality of his own work and the discipline’s work performed under his direction.
Responsible for the Cathodic protection designs for various structures including but not limited to pipelines, tanks & vessels, well casings, concrete CP, and offshore structures.
Responsible for AC / DC interference studies and mitigation, specialized CP surveys, CP assessments etc.
Work with and coordinate with other discipline engineers as required by quality review plans.
Participate in site surveys and plant visits (if required) to determine constraints in the existing CP systems or other existing facilities on sites that may influence the overall design concept and be able to recommend the most economical solutions.
Must be able to prepare CP equipment, bulk materials specifications, prepare material requisitions, and perform technical evaluations and non-material requirements of bidders’ responses.
Must observe and follow all applicable company HSE roles and quality requirements.
Selection, and review of materials for Refinery / Oil and Gas facilities.
Assessment of Service life Corrosion (SLC), Life Cycle Cost analysis (LCC) for Refinery / Oil and Gas projects.
Design calculations and review Cathodic Protection (CP) systems for Pipelines, Well casing, Tanks, and Vessels.
Cathodic protection system troubleshooting techniques.
Cathodic protection system monitoring and maintenance requirements.
Scoping the CP system for greenfield and brownfield projects.
Quality Assurance – Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system relevant to the BU, etc.
Safety – Responsible for personal safety safe working practices for the BU, etc. Understand and follow OH&S procedures.
Prepare CP designs scope of work, review CP 3rd party design, and resolve site inquiries.
Perform other duties related to the job as assigned by the Department or Engineering Managers.

What you will bring
Technical/Industry Experience and Qualifications Requirements\:
Relevant experience in materials selection, corrosion management & integrity assessments in major oil and gas projects.
Relevant experience in Cathodic protection system design & detail engineering.
Minimum NACE CP-2 Certified.
Good knowledge and experience with international codes and standards.
Good interpersonal, communication, and management skills.
Minimum of 8-10 years verifiable experience in CP design.
Engineering and Design of Cathodic Protection.
Cathodic Protection pre-commissioning and Commissioning.
A thorough knowledge of Pipeline Coating systems.
A full range of effective communication skills, including.
Persuasive language skills.
Presentation methods to maintain effective relations within the project teams.
Effective and clear report writing.
Excellent time management skills.
Able to operate in a multi-site and multi-cultural environment.
Degree Qualified, ideally in discipline relating to area of expertise.
Significant design experience on multi-discipline projects within the hydrocarbon industry is preferred.
Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training\:
Required\:
BSC degree in Engineering
Preferred\:
An understanding of Metallurgy and Materials Engineering preferred.
Additional information\:
Salary\: $126,097/annually - $185,436/annually commensurate with experience.
