Senior Certified Medication Aide *0.9 FTE Days*

Provides accurate medication administration and observes residents for drug reactions and manages medication processes, procedures, storage, and the medication room. Acts as Subject Matter Expert in knowledge of drug interactions, medication management, and medication administration. Maintains a safe environment under direction and supervision of a licensed nurse (RN or LPN). 

Serves as preceptor and responsible for orientation of new nursing staff, contributes to preceptor progress reports, and models expert practice of resident care. Expected to participate in committees, quality improvement teams, and/or employee selection interviews.

The Senior Medication Aide may also be scheduled to assist or fill the Certified Nursing Assistant role as needed.

Required Qualifications:

Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement. Upon hire: Oregon Certified Medication Aide Upon hire: Oregon Nursing Assistant Certification License Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association  Upon hire: In Compliance with the Department of Human Services (DHS), a criminal background check is required for this position. 1 year Experience as a CMA in a health care setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

6 months As CNA 2 with Providence
