Senior Chemist
Job Title: Chemist

Job Description

The Chemist applies scientific principles to the formulation of materials to create new products and refine current products. The role involves conducting research, analysis, and experimentation on products or raw materials for product and process development and application. The Chemist will take a technical lead on projects and provide training and guidance to less experienced technicians and chemists.

ResponsibilitiesInvestigate and develop new technology and methodologies.Conduct research on manufactured products to develop and improve products.Develop and formulate innovative and cost-effective solutions.Research new and/or alternate raw materials for cost control and plant economies.Prepare standards and specifications for processes, facilities, products, and tests.Solve problems and provide dispositions for distressed products or raw materials.Provide technical service support including customer complaint investigations.Evaluate and interpret test results and make appropriate recommendations.

QualificationsBachelor's or Master's Degree in a Scientific Discipline7+ years of experience working in paints RPay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.67/hr.
