Ackerman-Estvold's pay range is an estimate, and compensation may fall outside the posted range depending on experience. | Williston, ND, USA | Hourly | Full Time YOUR ROLE Senior Civil Engineer is a role that manages complex engineering projects across multiple disciplines. This team member works closely with municipal leaders to provide engineering solutions in all municipal aspects involving Municipal Infrastructure; Land and Site Development Projects; Grading Projects; Water Distribution Systems; Sanitary Sewer Systems; Storm Sewer Systems; Roadway Improvements; Sidewalks & Shared-Use Paths; Small Pumping Facilities; Small Water and Wastewater Treatment Facilities. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES + Manage small to mid-size projects, client and contractor agreements and budgets + Develop client relationships in support of business development to secure new project opportunities + Write and prepare technical engineering reports, plans and specifications for projects + Consult with clients to plan and develop strategies for their civil engineering design and support needs + Analyze reports, maps, drawings, and tests to plan and design projects + Evaluate designs to determine project feasibility, estimate quantities and cost of materials, equipment, and labor requirements + Assist with construction inspection of project sites to monitor progress and ensure design specifications are met + Engineering design for site-civil infrastructure elements + Mentor less experienced engineers as needed + Engage with public agencies to provide support, permitting, and approval of project needs. + Read and interpret construction plans to assist with client management and effectively communicate to answer inquiries from colleagues, clients, contractors, or the public. WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE + A bachelor's degree in civil engineering or similar field + Professional Engineering Registration (PE) for the state of ND (or ability to obtain registration for ND) + 8+ years of successful design and consulting experience within Civil Engineering + You have strong technical skills and experience using Autodesk Civil 3D, XP-SWMM, WaterCAD, SewerCAD, StormCAD and other related programs. + You have successfully worked in teams and have outstanding listening and communication skills. + Ability to advocate for Civil Engineering field and enjoy sharing knowledge, giving presentations, and encouraging students to explore it as a career. A BIT MORE INFORMATION Location This position is based in our Williston, ND office; however occasional travel to other locations and business conferences may be required on an occasional basis.
