Job Description
We are seeking a talented and experienced Civil Engineer to manage project life cycles from initiation to completion within allocated budgets. The successful candidate will develop, design, and generate plans, specifications, and estimates for various projects, ensuring quality and adherence to guidelines and regulations.
ResponsibilitiesManage project life cycles from initiation to completion within allocated budgets.Develop, design, and generate plans, specifications, and estimates for various projects.Interpret specifications and drawings, suggest and document design modifications, and coordinate with the design team.Conduct on-site investigations, perform technical and feasibility studies, and gather data and calculations across various domains including traffic forecasting, soil capacity, groundwater analysis, and structural design.Monitor projects for potential risks, material usage, and costs, promptly reporting any deficiencies or issues for swift resolution.Ensure Quality Assurance/Quality Checks on all projects, adhering to the company's commitment to delivering superior service to clients.Adhere to guidelines and regulations, including permits and safety protocols, and deliver technical files and documentation as required.Collaborate with colleagues and support other departments with project needs.Manage client relationships and actively contribute to new business development efforts.Essential SkillsMunicipal Engineering ExperienceProject Management ExperienceAutoCAD or MicroStation ExperienceCivil EngineeringEnvironmental EngineeringDraftingDesignWater TreatmentWater & WastewaterPublic WorksProfessional Engineer (PE) License or eligibility to obtainLand DevelopmentAdditional Skills & QualificationsMinimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Civil EngineeringPE license or eligibility to obtainMunicipal Project Management ExperienceExperience with Personnel ManagementAutoCAD Civil 3DGreat Communication SkillsKnowledge of EPA and IEPA Loan SystemWater/Wastewater Experience PreferredWork Environment
The work environment consists of 80% office work and 20% field work. The team typically finishes their workday by noon on Fridays. The company advocates for work-life balance and offers a flexible working schedule. A company car is provided for work use.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $55.00 - $70.00
