Senior Civil Engineer - Water Resources
Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, is seeking a client focused problem-solver to join our collaborative and innovative water resources team. This civil engineer will serve as a technical leader for design of flood risk reduction, water conveyance, and dam rehabilitation projects. Responsibilities include: Providing direction during project scoping, design charette exercises and problem-solving sessions Overseeing the assembly of design documents for construction, including constructability reviews Providing QA/QC Attending day and night client meetings as necessary Conducting necessary travel The successful candidate must have: A bachelor’s degree (or higher) in civil or geological engineering from an accredited college or university At least six (6) years of relevant work experience PE license in any state with the ability to obtain in CA within 12 months of start date The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following: At least four (4) years of experience with technical design and development of project plans and specifications At least two (2) years of experience designing projects in Civil 3D Knowledge of and experience with flood risk reduction design (levees, flood walls, or dams) in California Mentoring experience Water resources and/or hydropower project experience USACE, SAFCA, PG&E, and other water agency/district and utility client experience If you have strong communication and organizational skills, are self-motivated, and can work well both independently and as part of a team, complete the online application process for this job posting at www.meadhunt.com/careers.
