We’ve got what you’re looking for. **Job Description:** Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented **Senior Civil Linear CAD Designer** to join our team! In this role you will get to manage and lead the CAD design and delivery of exciting linear water and wastewater projects. In this role you will develop difficult and complex layout and design drawings utilizing theoretical and practical design knowledge, that they meet company and industry standards and codes. Responsibilities: + Working independently to perform and coordinate Civil Linear CAD design tasks, which will include developing engineering drawings, assisting with the coordination and procurement of site surveys and field investigation, preparation of cost estimates, review of drawing submittals and performing quality assurance and quality compliance checks, etc. + Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure design accuracy and project requirements are met. + Review and interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and related data to produce accurate CAD drawings. + Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations. + Perform quality control checks on drawings to ensure accuracy and completeness. + Maintain organized project files and documentation. + Participate in project meetings and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams. + Managing and leading project CAD team members including mentorship of junior designers. Qualifications: + Technician/Technologist with Civil Engineering Technology diploma with background in Civil Engineering. + 7+ years of experience in civil linear/conveyance water/wastewater projects, which includes: site grading, watermain design, stormwater management plans, erosion and sediment control plans, etc. + Strong proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation InRoads/OpenRoad, as well as other software such as ArcGIS and Revit are considered to be assets. + Complete and coordinate complex design tasks on multi-disciplinary projects as necessary. + Perform quality assurance and quality control of site survey investigations, models, and drawings for compliance. + Strong understanding of project delivery requirements and level of effort needed to delivery projects. + Experience and strong understanding of site survey investigations processes and compliance with CAD standards. + Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. + Ability to lead a dynamic design team to delivery multiple projects simultaneously under tight timelines. **Minimum Clearance Required to Start:** Not Applicable/None This position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team.
