Overview TRC is seeking a highly motivated Senior Civil Project Manager / Construction Manager to join our Civil, Municipal and Facilities team in the Phoenix, Arizona Infrastructure Market. Currently, this position will be located on a project site located in the south Chandler, Arizona area and focus heavily on drinking water treatment and distribution systems. This career-oriented position requires providing operational, permitting, compliance, design, and construction services. Our engineering staff provide engineering design and technical support on challenging projects including water and wastewater municipal infrastructure, site design and land development, State and local roadways, and renewable energy development. In this position, the successful candidate will apply their existing knowledge and develop new skills while working as part of a dynamic and fast-paced team. Assisting clients as they comply with various environmental regulations and addressing their permitting challenges by working with project teams to perform analyses and to develop and implement plans, designs, and specifications. The ideal candidate has experience executing and preparing design deliverables and providing construction support as well as experience with project and task management. Responsibilities Staffing Ensure the team within the business unit is effectively structured, engaged and led. We are looking for someone who is an inspirational leader. Lead team of on-site engineers, technicians, and administrative personnel to accomplish established project objectives. Complete annual performance evaluations for all direct reports. Assist with staff recruitment efforts by attending career fairs, reviewing resumes, conducting interviews, and making hiring recommendations. Assist with new staff on-boarding, mentoring, and training. Projects Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, clients, and public agencies. Be involved in all project aspects including design/study development and site/field visits during design and construction. Efficiently produce quality outputs while meeting budget and schedules on multiple concurrent projects. Respond to emergency or on-call services in a timely manner. Provide project resource management to achieve project milestones and objectives. Provide contractor oversight as required or requested. Business Development Identify and develop new business opportunities, and deliver responsive, high-quality services. Review RFPs/RFQs and prepare proposals and statements of qualifications. Manage client expectations. Assist with development and growth of full civil design service capabilities in the Phoenix, Arizona and surrounding markets. Key Accountabilities Meeting assigned KPIs. Responsible for the commercial performance of projects, key project staff assignments and initiatives, and managing staff utilization. Ensure timely preparation, coordination, and review of proposals, schedules, and budget estimates for client activities and pursuits. Ensure proper administration of business practice policies and procedures, salary planning, employee development, and staff performance evaluations. Ensure regular contact with clients and proactively address any client concerns. Ensure contractual obligations are fulfilled. Lead, develop, and foster an innovative and collaborative work environment. Leadership with onboarding and training of new staff. Qualifications Fifteen (15) or more years of experience in the design and construction management of drinking water systems (treatment and distribution) and wastewater treatment systems. Bachelor's Degree or higher in Civil Engineering Arizona Professional Engineer (PE) certification is REQUIRED. Strong project management skills including project CPM scheduling. Strong client management skills. Demonstrated track record in client development in an infrastructure/water resources consulting/engineering firm Excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be flexible, well-organized, accountable, and dependable Ability to work overtime as required to meet project objectives. Physically able to perform work on-site in the field. Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors. Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company’s annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
