Scope

The Chubb North American Marine team services several business units within Chubb with diverse books of business involving recreational marine, ocean marine and inland marine. This position manages pending inventory and daily workflow of incoming claims while ensuring high customer service levels and compliance with best practices are being met. The claim profiles range from personal property in-transit, marina property, ocean cargo and inland marine including contractor’s equipment, motor truck legal liability, warehouse legal liability and rigger’s liability.  

***This role operates on a hybrid work schedule (3 days in office, 2 days remote) and must sit in any of the listed office locations.

Responsibilities:

Experienced claims professional responsible for overseeing the adjustment and resolution of commercial inland and ocean marine claims. The right candidate must possess technical expertise and acumen to successfully move claims to resolution.. Ensure high level of customer service and claim file quality. Identifying and evaluating coverage issues, preparing comprehensive coverage letters and analysis, retaining and managing outside vendors and coverage counsel. Developing resolution strategies and negotiating settlements. Reviewing third-party vendor’s bills. Support business leaders on an as needed basis on various claim and underwriting related issues and marketing meetings. 5+ years of experience in Marine claims or equivalent in an Inland Marine fieldCandidate must have proven technical knowledge in the investigation and analysis of inland marine claims (1st and 3rd party). College degree or equivalent business experience is required. Candidate must demonstrate an ability to work in a collaborative fashion with a wide spectrum of people, develop and maintain strong business relationships within claims and with underwriting partners.Must be an excellent verbal and written communicator with the ability to address diverse audiences.Candidate must be both service and results driven, highly analytical and detail-oriented with the ability to make timely and appropriate decisions.
