As part of our growth in Continental Europe we are launching our Marine offer in the Nordics. QBE has an extensive experience in this field and has supported international clients for decades.  To support this development, we are looking for a Senior Marine Claims Adjuster.

As a Senior Claims Adjuster (m/f) you are part of a highly motivated team of professionals, together we

develop tailor-made solutions for our clients. In doing so, you will make a significant contribution to

achieving our corporate goals and give our clients the confidence of being covered by a specialist partner.

The position will be based in Stockholm and you will report to the Nordic Claims manager.

Your new role :

Contribute to the development of a European marine claims community, providing expertise and support to other branches in claims management.Handle national and international claims in the marine and cargo segmentInvestigate and resolve core and complex claims to provide excellent claims handling service with minimal leakage.Support the development of relationships with customers to enable the claims function tofully support the customer´s needsBe a consistent and trusted partner to our customers and a strong QBE representative on the marketCommunication with brokers, experts and lawyersAssessment and extrajudicial enforcement of recourse claimsMaintain knowledge of the marine claims portfolio and provide information to others onRequest to ensure the effective monitoring of claims to support underwriting and otherinternal stakeholdersSupport the implementation of systems, tools and processes to manage marine claims

About you:

Successfully completed relevant marine courses through Insurance SwedenRelevant professional experience working as a marine and cargo loss adjuster or lawyersettling claimsStrong record of being customer focusedBusiness fluent in written and spoken EnglishExcellent communication and negotiation skillsYou are able to work independently but also as part of a teamYou are willing to take on responsibility and always deliver timelyYou are not afraid to defend your opinion, but also have the stamina to convince yourself of better argumentsYou like to relate to people and are communicative and empathetic.You are resilient and reliable
