Senior Claims Adviser

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Claims Operations team at Marsh. This role will be based in Auckland or Christchurch. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

The successful candidate will provide high-level claims management services to clients and brokers through consulting, advisory, advocacy, and negotiation, while also mentoring colleagues and driving business objectives.

We will count on you to:

Drive high performance by aligning individual goals to unit and company objectives.Manage client relationships, resolving servicing issues and acting as an escalation point for difficulties.Drive the contract negotiation process for existing and new clients, ensuring service standards are agreed upon and documented.Conduct training for clients and prepare routine and ad hoc reports, including claims trends analysis.Support new business endeavours through claims review data provision and participate in marketing and client education presentations.

What you need to have:

Tier 1 qualification and Senior Associate membership of ANZIIF.Demonstrated claims management experience with strong technical expertise and account management capabilities. Experience in Marine and Property Construction will be an advantage.Good relationship building abilities with a resolution focus

Experience in managing moderate to high complexity claims and liaising with external providers.A Diploma in Financial Services or a Bachelor’s degree, with ongoing studies towards a Graduate Diploma in Financial Services.Strong negotiation skills and the ability to advocate effectively for clients.A proactive approach to identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements within the team.A solution focussed individual, who can network with relevant stakeholders to offer resolution on claims and assist our valuable clients with positive outcomes.
