Senior Clinical Coordinator
Richmond Community Services, a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals with developmental, intellectual, and behavioral challenges in Westchester, is seeking a dedicated Senior Clinical Coordinator to join our Day Program team in Mount Kisco, NY. This role is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing leadership and clinical support to staff and program participants. About the Role Under the administrative supervision of the Director of Day Habilitation Programs and the clinical supervision of the Coordinator of Person-Centered Services, the Senior Clinical Coordinator will support the Day Program’s clinical coordination team. This role ensures staff are effectively trained to implement individualized goals, service objectives, and therapeutic activities using a person-centered approach. Key Responsibilities + Serves as the primary support for the Day Habilitation Program’s clinical coordination team. + Coordinates tours and manages the admissions process for prospective participants and families. + Provides clinical support for program staff in using the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. + Assesses participant needs and oversees the development and biannual review of Staff Action Plans (SAP). + Ensures effective implementation of the SAP by Day Program Supervisors and Direct Support Professionals. + Leads the development of outcomes and training objectives for program participants. + Plans and oversees functional and self-directed daily schedules that address valued outcomes. + Provides ongoing training for Day Habilitation staff in SAP implementation. + Identifies and coordinates community outings and recreational activities aligned with participant goals. + Ensures high-quality service delivery in compliance with Richmond’s policies. + Evaluates individual program placements and makes recommendations to leadership. + Maintains a safe and supportive environment for all participants. + Communicates regularly with residential staff and family members about participant status. + Integrates Person-Centered Planning and other relevant methodologies into program activities. + Observes and collaborates with consulting clinicians (physical, occupational, and speech therapists) to ensure seamless integration of therapy techniques into participants’ daily programs. + Handles additional related tasks and responsibilities as assigned. Work Schedule + This is a 35-hour per week, non-exempt position eligible for overtime. What You Bring + Education: Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or a related Human Services field. + Experience: At least 2+ years of experience developing behavior plans and 3+ years working with individuals with developmental disabilities. + Skills: + Strong knowledge of clinical, recreational, social, and independent living skills development. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Internet navigation. + Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills. + Ability to interact at all levels and represent Richmond externally. + Certifications: + Must obtain CPR and First Aid certification. + Must complete SCIP training.
