Teladoc Health, Inc. seeks Senior Clinical Data Scientist (Multiple Openings) at its facility located at 2 Manhattanville Road, Suite 203, Purchase, New York 10577. Partner with our ground-breaking Data Science group to answer pressing questions in healthcare more quickly than ever before. Leader at the intersection of multiple fascinating disciplines, learn and innovate every day for key strategic accounts. Develop cost and utilization performance reporting, understand quality outcomes, and help drive successful outcomes for our members across the spectrum of care. Leverage skills in program evaluation, healthcare economics, and population health analytics to help deliver insights that facilitate insightful and timely decision making. Help understand which members are at highest risk of poor clinical and cost outcomes while there is still time to change these outcomes. Enable Teladoc Health to optimize our internal resource allocation and focus on the highest impact changes that support our members and our business. Serve as a strategic and thoughtful partner to internal and external customers. Creative problem solving, project management, curiosity, and the drive to learn new methods, as well as the ability to execute. Ready to apply traditional cost and utilization analytics to improve health outcomes for our members, and reduce medical expenses for our clients, partners, and the healthcare R&D community. Serve as consulting analyst and subject matter expert to our key strategic clients. Analyze commercial and Medicare healthcare claims, pharmacy claims, proprietary Teladoc Health data, and other types of data to understand which programs work for which clients – and why. Identify members who are at risk for poor health outcomes or increased medical spending to drive improvement actions. Conduct comprehensive quality checks on incoming data to ensure reasonability and accurate results. Efficiently and accurately conduct program evaluations using propensity score matching and/or regression techniques to adjust for potential confounding factors. Develop metrics and set targets and thresholds using benchmark data. Develop early warning insights and analytics from end-to-end, including advising on required data sources, developing metrics, benchmarks, and reporting. Engage with stakeholders to identify key analytic questions or develop hypothesis related to outcomes drivers. Clearly and succinctly communicate key insights to stakeholders with varied backgrounds in a refined and professional way. Help Teladoc Health shape and target our product development through a better statistical understanding of our members, including segmentation. REQS: This position requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Public Health, or a related field and 8 years of experience as a Healthcare Analyst, Data Scientist, or other occupation involving quantitative and report development capabilities in healthcare. Alternatively, the employer will accept a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Public Health or a related field plus 6 years of experience as a Healthcare Analyst, Data Scientist, or other occupation involving quantitative and report development capabilities in healthcare. Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with: (1) Data analytics technical skills, including using R, SQL, Python or other statistical software packages to access and test existing data for performance and quality measurement; (2) Claims-based cost and utilization analytics, and clinical outcome metrics, to inform the development of methods and frameworks for evaluating products and services; (3) Healthcare industry experience, including managed care organizations, pharmaceutical benefit management organizations, government systems, hospital systems or integrated care systems; (4) Clinical quality data, including HEDIS, Star Ratings, or Risk Adjustment; and (5) Data visualization skills to design and implement dashboards and reporting for cross-functional audiences to be shared with internal leadership as well as external clients and stakeholders.
