The University of Cincinnati, College of Medicine is seeking to hire a full-time Sr. Clinical Research Professional in the Department of Internal Medicine, Division Infectious Diseases. This individual will plan, evaluate, coordinate and/or manage elements of multiple or complex clinical research and/or grant funded projects for the Infectious Diseases Center Ryan White HIV program, and the Holmes Infectious Diseases Clinic. Duties can span a broad range of activities or be primarily focused within one or more areas of the clinical research spectrum. Classification and salary will be commensurate with experience. This position will be located in the Holmes Infectious Diseases Clinic, Suite 1300 and will have an office near the front of the clinic.

Essential Functions Provide direct case management services to patients with HIV. This encompasses meeting new HIV patients, social determinant of health assessments, referral to other departments and community service providers. Work on a multi-disciplinary Behavioral Care team to enable integration of mental health and substance use disorder care into the medical care of the IDC. Maintains the utmost degree of confidentiality and patient advocacy on behalf of patients with HIV and their loved ones. Ensure protocol procedures have been completed adhering to Good Clinical Practice Guidelines as defined by the Federal Drug Administration (FDA) and serve as subject matter expert. Complete intakes on HIV patients new to the IDC and those who have fallen out of care who are resuming services. Coordinate social work and patient care and/or patient follow-up functions of the HIV clinical program, including planning and developing patient support and HIV community-related activities. Participates in community activities for patient engagement, destigmatization, and HIV supportive activities. Other duties as delegated/assigned by the IDC Clinical Research Director or CHN Principal Investigator. Required Education Bachelor’s Degree must be in a related field. Seven (7) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement. Required Trainings/Certifications

State of Ohio Social Work License.

Required Experience

Three (3) years of related experience.

Additional Qualifications Considered Master’s degree. Experience in an academic or clinical setting in the area of social work. Physical Requirements/Work Environment Sitting - Continuously
