Senior Cloud Engineer
OPPORTUNITY OVERVIEW seeks a Senior Cloud Engineer who has expertise in the strategy, design, development, and implementation of large-scale projects in the cloud. In this role, you will have an immediate impact on the day-to-day efficiency of IT operations and an ongoing impact on growth. You should have a firm grasp of emerging technologies, platforms, and applications and an ability to customize these to help our business become more secure and efficient. Extensive knowledge of cloud maintenance, experience in managing staff, and advanced industry knowledge are essential to the success of this position.. 
Role and responsibilitiesCollaborating with engineering and development teams to evaluate and identify optimal cloud solutionsModifying and improving existing systemsEducating teams on the implementation of new cloud technologies and initiativesHelp manage cloud environments in accordance with company security guidelinesEnsure efficient functioning of data storage and process functions in accordance with company security policies and best practices in cloud securityIdentify, analyze, and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issuesRegularly review existing systems and make recommendations for improvementsInteract with clients, provide cloud support, and make recommendations based on client needsRequired qualifications and skillsMust be a US Citizen residing in the United StatesExperience as Cloud Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or Kubernetes Admin, typically obtained in 5+ yearsFluent with Kubernetes (Including writing and managing helm charts)Experience migrating workloads to KubernetesExperience managing firewall rules and working with reverse proxies such as envoy or nginx load balancersExpert-level AWS experienceOutstanding ability to coordinate among stakeholders, rapidly achieve consensus, produce very efficient, actionable plans and execute to planProven ability to solve problems creativelyStrong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practicesExperience seeing projects through the full life cycleExcellent analytical skillsSuperior attention to detail in tracking & reporting changes to plansExcellent ability to summarize information both written and visuallyPrevious experience with writing and editing technical communicationsStrong ability to work with and/or influence stakeholders/others as required to execute to planWritten and spoken fluency in the English language Desired qualifications and skillsExperience with Prometheus, Grafana, and Grafana LokiExperience working in highly-secured "air-gapped" environmentsBachelor's degree in computer science, business, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.BenefitsCompetitive compensationCommunity-driven culture with employee eventsRegular catered lunches for in-office work; snacks, drinks available dailyGenerous time off Comprehensive health benefits & 401(k) planFun, modern workspace Respectful and nourishing work environment, where every opinion is heard and everyone is encouraged to be an active part of the organizational cultureInterested?Ready to apply?
