Job Description A client in the financial services industry is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to join its CTO organization. This Senior Engineer is responsible for supporting efforts to move from the customer's internal private cloud to external AWS and eventually GCP. The Engineer must have strong expertise around AWS services, AWS use cases, security, and automation. They will be partnering with the infrastructure team and will be the SME around the migratory services. Will be a combination of advisory and hands-on Engineering for architectural designs and POCs. Experience supporting an ecosystem with hybrid internal private cloud and external public cloud is required. Compensation: $60-80 Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Skills and Requirements Over 7 years of Senior Engineering experience Strong AWS expertise, particularly in EKS, ECS, EC2, Lambda, VPC networking and IAM. Experience deploying and managing containerized applications (Docker, Kubernetes) in cloud environments. Understanding of ingress and egress traffic flow, AWS security groups, and service discovery. Proficiency in Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation for infrastructure automation Hands-on experience with service mesh technologies (Istio, Envoy) and patterns like sidecar architecture. Solid understanding of REST API design and best practices Hands-on prior experience developing and deploying Node.js (or) Java based applications Strong grasp of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps best practices, and observability. Understanding of API design, security, and workload isolation in distributed systems. Experience with multi-cloud strategies (GCP, on-perm to cloud migration).
