Burns McDonnell is seeking to hire a Senior Cloud Financial Analyst for its Corporate IT team in Kansas City, MO. As a Senior Cloud Financial Analyst, you would be responsible for supporting the management of the cloud portfolio while optimizing the value, cost, and financial management of our cloud providers. The Senior Cloud Financial Analyst primary focus will be ensuring efficient cloud resource utilization, cost tracking, and identifying opportunities for cost savings within our cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be naturally curious, can balance digging into data to solve a problem while looking at the big picture and promote a culture of cost accountability and awareness around cloud consumption.
Responsibilities to include:
Review and analyze data to provide financial and operational insights critical to cloud financial management and other technologiesDevelop and provide financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting across technology portfolioProvide guidance to junior team membersCreate new and optimize existing business processes to ensure objectives are met efficiently and effectivelyLeverages large datasets such as financial, usage, tag metadata to tell a story and drive actionWork with various stakeholders to help them understand their technology spend and optimize it based on their unique architecture and desired business outcomesEnsure the integrity and accuracy of technology financial reporting.Work with staff analyst to prepare and present consumption analysis including KPI's and charge backsPresent Bill of IT to various leaders across the organizationMonitors and manages IT expenditure, ensuring that all IT financial targets are met, and examining any areas where budgets and expenditure exceed their agreed tolerancesInvestigate cost anomalies and discrepancies to identify root causes and implement corrective actionsDevelop dashboards and reports to analyze, monitor, and report on the organization's consumption of Cloud and related servicesImplement tagging and cost allocation methodologies to supervise spending and allocate costs accuratelyDesign and implement automated processes for cost reporting, budgeting, and forecastingStay updated on cloud pricing models, cost management tools, and standard methodologies in FinOpsAll other duties as assigned
