Senior CMT Project Manager
The Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Project Manager will assist with proposal completion for new contracts, provide technical, budget and staffing oversight of on-going projects. The CMT Project Manager will provide ongoing communications with clients and contractors to ensure successful experiences and timely project completion. This job operates in a professional office environment but may require extended periods of time working outdoors with moderate to heavy (40lbs+) lifting. Applicants are required to complete a background investigation, drug screening and driving record review.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Prepare and assist in preparation of proposals for new projectsMonitor and maintain reports associated with proposal activityProvide management over-site for ongoing projects: technical, budgetary and personnelPerform site visits as necessary to address technical issuesEnsure client’s expectations are being met by responding expeditiously to client phone calls and emailsMaintain communications with internal team; engineers, administrative team and executive teamReview field and lab reports daily, ensure that data reporting is processed in a timely mannerReport irregularities to engineers and supervisorsMust follow and enforce all regulatory and safety standards with the teamAnticipate personnel and equipment needs to accommodate future project completionREQUIRED SKILLS:Accuracy, attention to detail and timeliness with project results requiredAbility to read and interpret plans, specifications, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manualsValid Texas Driver’s License (extra compensation for CDL) and must continue to maintain a safe driving record to fulfill travel requirements of this positionMust be punctual, reliable and dependableMust be able to lift, carry, push up to 40+ pounds on a regular basisApplicants must pass background investigation, drug screening and driving recordExcellent computer skills: Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel)REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Construction Management)5+ years of progressive experience in the CMT and Geotechnical project managementUES is the #1 fastest-growing AEC firm on The Zweig Group’s Hot Firm list in 2021, 2022 & 2023.
