Senior CNC Maintenance Technician

Precipart. located in Farmingdale, NY, is looking to hire a skilled and experienced Senior CNC Maintenance Technician to ensure the continuous operation of our machinery and mechanical equipment. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting root-cause analysis, performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting malfunctions, and executing timely repairs. This position requires a hands-on approach to working with complex machinery, equipment, and systems to ensure optimal performance and minimize production downtime.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
+ Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
+ Locates source of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
+ Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.
+ Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
+ Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools.
+ Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.
+ Assists in rigging, lifting, and relocating a variety of complex, heavy machines, equipment and components
+ Performs installation, maintenance, and repair of piping and plumbing systems, including pumps and motors, as well as the setup of new capital equipment.
+ Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
+ Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies.
+ Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
+ Responsible for conforming with the company’s quality management system requirements, as well as contributing to its overall effectiveness, and the ultimate goals of customer satisfaction, product compliance and ethical practices/behavior.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE / SKILLS / EDUCATION
+ High School Diploma or equivalent
+ 5 plus years of work experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in a production environment
+ Experience with preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of CNC lathe and milling machinery, as well as other mechanical equipment is essential
+ Strong knowledge of machine maintenance procedures, including adjustments to functional parts, and troubleshooting mechanical issues
+ Experience with new capital equipment installations and repairs
+ Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
+ Good problem solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills
+ Strong organization and time management skills with the ability to prioritize competing tasks
+ Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate, verbally and written, effectively with team members and cross-functionally
+ Proficient in using MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)

Pay Range: $30.00 to $40.00 an hour
