What You Will Do - Primary Responsibilities:

Write CNC programs to machine parts per drawing/model requirements.Select cutting tools that meet the process requirements (eg: material to cut, tolerances required, expected cycle time).Perform CNC program simulations to confirm cutting paths are safe prior to running on equipment.Create supporting documentation (Machine Setup Sheet, Tool Set sheets, In-process inspection drawings and instructions).Troubleshoot program issues on production floor.Perform continuous improvement efforts such as reducing defect rates, increasing first-pass yield, increasing process safety, and reducing process cycle time.

Qualifications You Must Have:

U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract, the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of relevant experience OR  Advance degree and 5 years of relevant experience OR In absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required.8+ years of experience machining (setup and run CNCs, bridgeports).6+ years of experience programming G-code (in any software, but major ones are Siemens NX, Mastercam, GibbsCam, Esprit).6+ years background in Geometric Dimension and Tolerancing.6+ years experience with CAD software (Solidworks, Siemens NX, Creo, etc)6+ years experience with running G-code simulations.

Preferred Qualifications We Value:

Bachelor’s degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.Training certificate in Siemens NX.Machinist/Tool Maker certificate.Advanced G-code simulation setup and troubleshooting in [Vericut or similar sometimes require some tweaking to make sure it matches the machine on the floor].Experience machining composites, wood or polymers.Experience with CMS Poseidon equipment/industrial 5-axis routers [types of machines/machine controllers used at your site].Process document writing experience.Machining fixture design experience.

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
