Required:
Sr. Cognos 10.1 or 10.2 (could have 10 but nothing earlier, can’t have version 8 and nothing later) SQL Server 2008 – pulling information, performance tuning, problem solving, creating views, troubleshooting performance issues if they arise.
Data modeling so Cognos can efficiently pull the correct results every time– snow flake, star schemas, how Cognos likes to see the model data between the two types.
Excellent communication skills.
Rolled out Cognos in Oct. 2012, they purchased in 5/2012 and had IBM come in and build initial package. Since that time, they did work to create additional packages. On IBM packages they have model constraints, so need someone to come in to help redesign some components that don’t hit IBM best standards – star schemas and more snowflakes.

Another component with manual adjustments from time when close books at month end and can’t adjust source data (does this manually) so have home built application where have a handful of users to make adjustments to various fields and then present data to them in flatten out views to other users.
