The Opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Credit Risk Underwriter to join our team in a 12-month fixed-term role to cover the parental leave of a current employee.  

In this position, you will be responsible for underwriting, structuring, and managing credit risks and relationships that are large, complex, and exceed the authority level of Credit Analysts. 

The ideal candidate will also play a crucial role in mentoring and supporting less experienced team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment. 

Role Objectives Underwrite, structure, and manage credit risks and dealer and customer relationships that are large and complex in nature.  Monitor the performance of borrowers and recommend and execute effective collection strategies.  Negotiate and prepare documentation that clearly outlines the performance obligations of the borrower, utilizing Deere forms or attorney-drafted agreements.  Provide mentoring and training support to junior employees within the team, ensuring their development and success.  Prepare various reports relevant to the Credit & Risk portfolio, contributing to our overall strategy and decision-making process.  Providing support and assisting in digitalising the credit underwriting process utilising insourcing and external digital solutions.

With a strong expertise in credit analysis, you are an energetic self-starter who is an excellent team player who takes pride in their work and their working environment. 

 

What Skills You Need  

Strong credit assessment and underwriting skills.  Complex commercial lending expertise.  Large account relationship management skills.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Strong negotiation skills.  Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new systems and processes.  Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.  Well-organized and proactive in approach.  Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in credit assessments and documentation.
