Presbyterian Homes & Services Home Office in Roseville, MN is seeking a Senior Communication Specialist for our team. 

 

The Senior Communication Specialist represents Presbyterian Homes & Services along with other operating entities to the community at large including maintaining messaging to retain a positive reputation of the PHS brand. The Sr. Communication Specialist develops omni-channel campaigns including talking points and related strategies.

 

REPORTING STRUCTURE
The Senior Communication Specialist reports to the Senior Director of Marketing Communications. The Senior Communication Specialist works collaboratively with PHS and SHP Management staff, Site Leaders, and functional directors of assigned areas of accountability along with internal and external partners and vendors.

Responsibilities

The Senior Communication Specialist represents Presbyterian Homes & Services along with other operating entities to the community at large including maintaining messaging to retain a positive reputation of the PHS brand. The Sr. Communication Specialist develops omni-channel campaigns including talking points and related strategies. The Sr. Communications Specialist serves as one of the primary writers and editors for a wide range of content, including news releases, articles for internal and external business publications, advertising copy, demand generation campaigns, and thought leadership pieces. This role plays a pivotal part in planning, executing, and monitoring marketing campaigns, strategies, and activities. Additionally, the Sr. Communications Specialist acts as one of the primary points of contact for the media, especially in situations involving negative events or crisis management, ensuring consistent and effective communication that aligns with organizational objectives.

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communication, marketing, or related field.8+ years proven experience in public relations, communication or marketing with a track record of successful campaign execution including digital, print and broadcast.Demonstrated experience in media relations, crisis communication and healthcare communications/marketing. Experience in senior housing, service or health care related environments preferred.Robust writing skills for a variety of channels including traditional media, online, print, social media, video and audio for stakeholders including donors, residents, families, executives, employees, media and volunteers.Strong project management skills, including the ability to create and manage project plans, budgets, and timelines. Ability to project manage multiple projects simultaneously as well as prioritize and manage multiple tasks, with a strong attention to detail.Must have flexibility, personal integrity, and ability to work effectively with residents, coworkers, family members, visitors, media, and the public.Must be able to work independently and with minimal supervision.Ability to learn & utilize department systems and workflows to help maintain critical data related to the work being produced by the department including but not limited to strategy, directives for work to be performed, timelines, content, archival of data, and the like.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.Demonstrated computer proficiency including Microsoft Office and other common computer programs. Familiarity with project management tools, marketing automation platforms, and other relevant software.Strong leadership skills to guide and motivate team members toward project objectives.Must be a team player, willing to take direction and accept responsibility for meeting specified objectives.Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with all customers.
